Literature vs Films - Genre Novel Dracula

Well, I ain't pretty sure about my journal, whether it fits the purpose or not, since my two fellow friends of Ipoh's centre blogs are very - very impressive.

This morning I was so dumbstruck upset as I could not sign in into my blog. Thanks God that it was at eleven the morning, if it happened in the wee hour of 4 in the morning I could turn out to be a werewolf ...

You see my friends, based on my personal details, you can predict what sort of a person I am. Well I guess by being a teacher I can learn to share a bit of my experiences in life… when someone talk about his or her work – what they are doing for their life, they cannot escape from talking about themselves, so that is what I believe then, now I have another notion on this aspect – the books you read will reflects your personality. Well my favorite book is Dracula. For those who love scary movies, it’s quite outdated one compared to the latest wave of the genre with the influence of Japanese and Korean creepy crawling things.

Well, yes it is a piece of a scary story but if ones really read the story, what most amazing is the value of the true friendship among the characters. All three supporting heroes (Dr Seward, Mr Morris and Lord Goldalming) work hand in hand in order to help the leading hero (Jonathan Harker) to destroy the demon (Count Dracula). And all of them were actually was in love to the same person (Miss Lucy Wesrenra), a friend of the hero’s wife (Ms Mina Harker) who became a victim to the demon.

Should you think in real life nowadays, is there anyone would sacrifice one’s life for anyone they could not marry as she doesn’t love them? Hmm… they will make a woman as a sacrifice for their demonic lust – that I have no doubt such as what we see in KL Menjerit or Gila-gila Remaja or any others typical story like that.

This Dracula book actually was filmed with actor Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryders play the leading roles. I am still looking for this piece of work, because I don’t know the real title – if you know then tell me.. please.. do share.

So before anyone would think that ‘ wow, she is so creepy inside her’ as instead of choosing ‘Kuch kuch Hota Haye’ I would choose Puntianak Sundal Malam or Nang Nak, there must be some bright insight that worth to be shared from the movies or stories.

Talking about new pieces of literature such as Harry Potter and Lords of the Rings as well as the older literature pieces - Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Vanity Fair which were transform into film, I honestly attracted to them when I came to see the movie first. Haha I haven't much time to spend for reading now.
